Can anyone post pics, I am trying to get an idea of how exactly the silver or the black look, it's hard to tell from KAB's site. I am planning on ordering one, but need to figure out finish color.

Definitely looks nice on your rig, I have the silver GR and my concern cosmetically is that it might be a bit much. At least in your pic and on KAB's, the silver looks SO outrageously silver it almost looks fake to me.

The silver matches the feet on my table pretty well - which is supposed to be magnesium if I recall. It is a silver grey - not shiny at all - not like Mercedes silver paint.

@snorker's is all silver - and looks pretty sharp.

I bought the KAB damper with silicone fluid. Kevin, the salesman of KAB told me that silicone fluid does not expire, only colors a bit over time.
Because the viscosity is very high all dust stays on top of it and does not interfere.

They both look great. The silver is a shiny grey colour. The black is black.
    They both sound the same.

I chose silver because I was afraid that black would show off any dust that did happen to fall into the silicone fluid.

Almost looks like it came from the factory that way.
Especially the paddle, which has the same magnesium looks as the tonearm has.

Where did you get the arm?
Salvaged arm from an MK4? :p

Nope, they are actually both based on the SME fluid throughs, which were the first.

As far as I know, the MK4 was the only Technics turntable released with a titanium tonearm.
Do correct me if I'm wrong ;)

That eBay one looks exactly like the KAB. I plead ignorance on the SME. SME didn’t make one for a Technics did they? Did it look the same?

    True.
But the eBay "replica" didn't do a good job if it was intended to be a KAB replica IMO

Right. KAB obviously didn’t originate fluid damping, he just made one for a Techncis arm. I looked up the SME and while it is the same concept, it is only for their own arms I believe. It also looks a bit different than the KAB model. This eBay one I would consider a knock-off, since it looks nearly identical, even if it’s slightly different.

Yeah especially from a distance they look very similar.
From up close, it almost looks like this polycarbonate one on eBay is printed by a 3D printer.

That’s what I thought. Could be 3-D printed.

Ah okay, well it looks great on your M5G anyways, because the dark color suits the piano black top plate.

Thanks - I meant to say 'The arm on' - sounds funny how it typed out - "them on my deck is "- like I'm a hick or something. hahaaa.

My English isn't that great either, since it's my tertiary language, so I didn't really noticed it until you pointed it out.
