The combined CD running time is 174 minutes (just checked my iPhone), so a triple vinyl release will mean 30 minutes of music on each side, unless something is cut.

And there's zero chance he would cut anything

Right -- especially since the Instagram picture clearly shows 3 LPs...

Maybe someone that follows him on Instagram could ask...

From me experience, he's pretty good about responding on Twitter.

Nice to see the music coming along. I've got my vinyl order in, 3 or 4, whatever it takes!

Just FYI, neither Kamasi nor his label have confirmed any vinyl details or dates beyond the one test pressing photo I posted. So any preorders any third party site has listed are speculation at best.

My favourite jazz album of the year...and now I have to get the vinyl. The epic build of some of these tracks gets my pulse racing....

And what is your association to Kamasi Washington and the Brainfeeder label?

So, it would not seem unlikely to surmise that the label and Mr. Washington may well have been creating business plans and alliances for future intentions without informing you first?

The point being that no official announcement of a vinyl release has been made, so it's unlikely a preorder page on a dubious third party site is legitimate. It'd sure be a shame if everyone trusting a shady unofficial preorder ended up with a worthless bootleg pressing sourced from digital à la To Pimp a Butterfly.

Personally, I'd rather wait for an official announcement and order from a reputable retailer (or the label/artist themself).

I agree, it could be a shame if someone misrepresented themselves.
And yet our credit card services guarantees no loss on the part of a purchaser.

I think we can all safely also agree that the vinyl release of this album is highly anticipated.

The vinyl version will be released October 2 on Brainfeeder.
Pitchfork announces it, Amazon lists it.

I hope that is an incorrect track listing, or maybe they edited down the songs. That amazon tracklist is right at about 58 minutes a disc. Why not just add another disc? Anyone have any more info?
