Very, very interesting. I bet they would sell pretty well. $2500-$3000? Or am I way off base?

I've been wondering for ten years when the LS50 and the Junior Blade would have a baby.

Since it's labeled LS60 Wireless and the LS50 Wireless is $2800 I would ballpark these around $4-5k for the pair.

...my only negative thought is that they look like a giant pez dispenser

Which would also be awesome, but in my dreams they would dispense pound cakes.

That is one ugly speaker. I would take the LS50 every time.

The speaker I wanted from the beginning. Could be a winner and I would strongly consider the passive version, hopefully different color and finish options.

Oh man. Passive version in red would be mighty tempting.

Absolutely ugly. Should be the blue color, it looks like a plastic molded toy.

I would be surprised if they came in under 10k.

Just absolutely hideous looking. Too bad, KEF has made some beautiful speakers over the years. These are not. My initial reaction was: Wow, those might be the ugliest speakers I have ever seen.

I’d like to see this 42 inches tall by 8 inches wide, with one bass driver low on the side. Same finish options as the LS50. Cut the base into a more elegant shape, like the plinth of a VPI Prime Scout.

    This just in:

KEF has responded to the speaker's criticism by adding a blanket covered with other speakers to hide your newly purchased set of LS60s.

Is there a fast memory trick to forget everything about this speaker ? Like in Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. I can't evacuate this vision of my mind and it hurts ! ;-)
PS : I tried to stare a pair of ls3/5a without blinking for half an hour and the post-traumatic stress decreases a little.

Apparently, KEF marketing decided there was a need for a speaker that my 4 grandchildren under 6 could easily tip over, like a cow in a pasture.

Photo lacks the sharpness of the real thing. Name LS 60 also seems incongruent with their size. Maybe it came down quickly because it was the result of a hack of their website.

Is particle board cheaper than speakers?

They figured out how to hide cables and cords that everyone eventually plugs into these ‘wireless’ speakers.

really, that's KEF reference territory. the actives better come in under 10K and the passives under 5K.
