Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. I really like mine and the recent reduced pricing now makes perfect sense. The sneeky devils.

 

I've wondered for a while with all the slashed pricing for the last 9 months when we'd hear about the new model....

... on the flipside those who bought theirs for $1499 full retail probably aren't so happy, as these days I see the used ones resell for $700 at times! Buyers market!

 

I looked at the article to see if the Wireless II had a longer warranty than the one year offering on the last version...... probably too soon to know, but something I personally will be looking at.... as I'm sure others will be too.

 

Interesting. That satin blue on the Meta is beautiful.
Now I would like to hear these.
I’ve always respected the R&D that went into these speakers.
I’ve heard them and liked them but not really enough to consider buying a a pair but this new iteration may be the one to get. But then again I want EVERYTHING!

 

Bet these will be great.

 

The sound quality has never been in question! Probably one of the most discussed and bought speaker at this price point..... ever.

Wow, cool. I tried the LS50 twice and couldn't live with it due to fatigue but I already know I am going to try these since they did so many things so well. So gorgeous in the matte finish.

They're very amp and toe-in dependent. I found them harsh when toed in with a lesser amp, with the HINT and toed-in just a tiny bit they're perfection and not even remotely harsh.

 

Still have the ugly orange drivers so I'm out. Why on earth don't they make a pair in black or silver or gray with black or silver or gray drivers?

I had a pair for two years and finally sold them because I hated the orange drivers so much. They looked ridiculous.

 

I thought they made a black on black model

I like the looks of the orange driver

 

I saw a promotional image with 4 or 5 versions, no black driver w/black cabinet.

Yep, tried them twice and no dice. I'm hoping this new version is better. No trace of fatigue with any other speakers in this setup so it was weird.

 

It's not so weird, the Kef LS50 sound is not for everyone, there are a lot of testimonials that some don't like the sound - it's par for the course with speakers, they're personal and some like a different sound more or less than others.

You don't like the LS50 sound - end of story and that's what it is!
