    Well he helped popularise the Tequila Sunrise as that was the choice of drink on the STP 72' Tour Of America!

    Now he's be 110 instead of 95. Good call. Hopefully his liver will be used for research and we get a cure so we can all drink all the time.

    Well, I've always thought they were like brothers. Brothers can be snippy at each other. Keith wrote many wonderful things about Mick in Life--complimenting his writing, his musicianship and his friendship. Of course, the media only focused on the bit where he said Mick has a tiny pecker (from the portion of the book when Mick slept with Anita during the making of Performance). I think they clearly love each other but are two very different people, which naturally means they won't always get along or see exactly eye-to-eye.

    It's why their 50+ partnership is so fascinating and amazing to me. The greatest collaboration ever in rock, for me. :)

    Beer = methadone for whiskey

    .....or it could be a bit of hype for anyone thinking recently: "he's not playing too well but it was great to see him(them)".

    In other news.....later in the article it says they are working on a follow up to Bigger Bang....12 songs ready........

    Hype, snippiness, marketing BS (could be real but who knows....it doesn't matter!).....I can't not love Keith Richards.

    Keef has been "lit" for so long that being sober is a new type of high for him: "wow these walls are solid; rooms don't spin man, this ****e is weird!"

    I must be elderly.

    I have maybe two glasses of wine total on a weekend and thats it.

    Back at art college I think I was on a crusade to single-handedly take care of the entire output of Colombia... a valiant effort but of course I failed ;-)

    Havent smoked anything since 1984 and never tried anything stronger since.

    I havent even had a beer at a gig in years. I play better sober.

    This has inspired me. I think I'll have a double and toast Keith.

    In my forties and now fifties, I have finally taught myself moderation after years of over-indulgence (except for about six years of abstinence in the 90's). It's a good feeling.

    I've heard that it was actually a stroke, and the coconut tree story was invented.

    Each tour cycle we get the same reheated stories; just as the Stones safely stick to war horse songs during their shows, their human interest PR doesn't much change either. Whenever there is anything to promote we will get stories about Keith and the substances he does or does not ingest, Mick and the young women in his life, Charlie's threats that he is getting too old for outdoor shows, and Ronnie being the loyal, team player.
