Keith Richards is 75! How Did He Do It & Your Toasts Please.......

Well in 2 1/2 Hrs Oz time he will be so I take some license here.

Keith Richards is the reason why I took up the guitar 34 years ago and not to mention likely a fair part of the reason I have somehow almost 1,500 Stones vinyl records, read over 100 Stones books, wanted to form a band that sounded like his, bought into his legend and emptied my bank account continuously for The Rolling Stones over the decades.

Andrew Loog Oldham was right, The Stones are a "way of life"...... and to many people across the globe.
It was once memorably said; "Junk or no junk Keith puts reality into the Stones!"
That reality included telling Judge Block in 1967; "We Are Not Old Men, We Are Not Worried By Your Petty Morals &
The Armed Hells Angels At Altamont; "Either Those Cats Cool It Or We Don't Play!"

Whether through dreaming Satisfaction, Becoming The archetype rock guitarist in the Jumping Jack Flash Video, Devastating us with his 5 string open G Riffing or being seduced by his Devil May Care Persona, looks and Nasty Habits, many of us have eaten from the cake he baked and kept returning for more, the rush was that great!

Be it serious, comical, critical, farcical, loving or respectful lets here it for The Human Riff as he actually turns 75 years young!

 

One of the most intelligent and well-read rockers, a fine sketch artist, good cook, caring (grand)father and husband, "and a license to **** in the streets!"

Roll on 2019! Roll on Stones!

My absolute favorite rock star ever, my favorite guitarist and one of the best songwriters of the 20th century. There are few on this earth who have brought as much joy into my life as Keith has done.

 

A lot of luck and I wish him more on his Birth day!

 

Yes....for sure. .....without good genes that he'd been already gone , but that's even not for sure.

I got a son on 18th December 2004 while I was reading his biography Life.....and I 've always a kind of adored him myself as a young teenager because of the rocker image hè had to me.....

Enmore Theatre. Licks show 2003. I've flown in from Perth. I am lucky enough to be half sitting on the stage. Keith's side. Propped up by my brother in law. Jagger wanders over singing That's how Strong my Love is. I touch his shoe. He looks down with a look of "if you ever touch me again, you're dead". Later, Keith's on one knee, one arm in the air. Looking straight at me from about 2 feet away. He's playing the opening riff of Honky Tonk Women with one hand. He leans over and says to me "How falootin' easy is this?" with a huge grin on his face. HE IS ROCK AND ROLL'S true maestro. The best. Many happy returns to the Riff Master.

 

Or quality-controlled drugs? And knowing when to stop.

 

Also helps to be rich.
