    Can it be no one has posted Michael Jackson on Motown 25? Yeah, I know he lip-synched because he had a sore throat that day. I don't care. I remember watching it on a small, black-and-white portable TV, and you could still feel the electricity. I was one of about 5 million people who went out and bought "Thriller" the next day.

    My favorite music performance on TV ever was the first time Paul Simon did "Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes" on SNL with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I remember being gobsmacked.
