My all-time favourite promo video is Alice Cooper - Ballad of Dwight Fry, taped for Beat Club (Germany), Fall 1971. Ted
This blew me away when I first saw it. I wanted to be in that band! At the drive in - one armed scissor live - video Dailymotion
Two I love are The Hollies live on German TV circa 1966 (the harmonies are incredible), and this amazing appearance by The Beach Boys on Ready Steady Go in 1964.
"All you need in Rock 'n' Roll" per Dave, and who am i to question him when it rocks like this. Enuff Z'nuff - "Superstitious" on Letterman 1993
I don't think that they cut power, that's how it ends. More info: Saturday Night Live 1980 – Captain Beefheart Radar Station
Certainly one of the greatest ever, that is one killer band! Where is Parker? Didn’t know he’s on this. I do know that the guitar player is Michael Sembello (“Maniac” from Flashdance)
My vote for the greatest ever, The Who on the Smothers Brothers in 1967. The intros, great performance and destruction at the end is classic late 60s chaos. Gotta love what Pete does to Tom’s guitar at The end
