Captain Beefheart SNL 1980
GRINDERMAN (Nick Cave).......`Honey Bee` on the Letterman show.
Sigur Rós - Hoppipolla
My all-time favourite promo video is Alice Cooper - Ballad of Dwight Fry, taped for Beat Club (Germany), Fall 1971.
PBS Critique: The Doors
WNET NYC 1969
So funny how they just cut the power on them. "S**t!"
This blew me away when I first saw it. I wanted to be in that band!
At the drive in - one armed scissor live - video Dailymotion
Darn it, I forgot Deep Purple doing "No No No" on German TV in the early '70s.
Two I love are The Hollies live on German TV circa 1966 (the harmonies are incredible), and this amazing appearance by The Beach Boys on Ready Steady Go in 1964.
"All you need in Rock 'n' Roll" per Dave, and who am i to question him when it rocks like this.
Enuff Z'nuff - "Superstitious" on Letterman 1993
Bryan Adams - Bryan Adams - The Tube -1985, Full set. - YouTube
“Good-hearted Man” - Tift Merritt
on “Live from Austin, TX”
I don't think that they cut power, that's how it ends.

Certainly one of the greatest ever, that is one killer band!
Where is Parker? Didn’t know he’s on this. I do know that the guitar player is Michael Sembello (“Maniac” from Flashdance)
My vote for the greatest ever, The Who on the Smothers Brothers in 1967. The intros, great performance and destruction at the end is classic late 60s chaos. Gotta love what Pete does to Tom’s guitar at The end
I know zilch about these guys, but I ordered their album immediately after seeing this on Letterman:
Criminally underrated - just saw her live in NYC this last weekend and she’s still got it in spades!
