King Crimson 2019 Celebration Tour (50 years)

Where else could you be w Crimso in your backyard
Wife and I had to fly to Chicago from down south in 2014,
A couple shows and the great museum, her B-day dinner and
to the airport.

Last year both VIP shows in Atlanta .. a couple hour drive.
Got that worried wondering KC tour blues.. will they come close
again like last year.. Nearly bought VIP tix yesterday for Chicago again (?).
Health issues make that nearly impossible.

I imagine this refers more to the type of festivals where they have single shows on consecutive days.

 

Yes--something like the Montreal Jazz Festival, where most groups just play regular shows in indoor venues throughout the city.

 

Yes. Saw them a few years back at the Rochester Jazz Festival where they did a stand alone headline show at the Eastman Kodak Theatre.

 

Wonder if there was ever consideration to approaching Bill Bruford about handling a Q&A for the Royal Club? He'd never pick a set of sticks again, but this is something that might not require as much arm-twisting.

 

For you folks that live in or are willing to travel to the Annapolis area: $35 to see Adrian Belew is pretty sweet deal but the venue is tiny. Better snag ur tix ASAP

I don't really understand how presale tickets work. Do I need a code from somewhere to buy for L.A. tomorrow on Ticketmaster?

What about Chicago, any info about a code? I received a code for NY, but not Chicago.

 

One of the best ideas I've heard yet. Bill would be a terrific and very humorous ambassador for KC in their 50th Anniversary year.

 

It's something he'd probably be willing to do too.

 

He may not pick those sticks up and that you can most likely bet on, but he never seems at a loss for words on Crimson. I bet it happens in some form or another getting Bill to spin some yarns.

 

Italy dates announced:

KING CRIMSON IN ITALY 2019

Those are the only Italian dates - according to fripp on Facebook, between July 10-July 18 is when whatever concerts occur in France and Spain will be, but those specific dates are not announced yet.

 

I got a sort of lousy seat for New York...........7th row but on the side.

I'll live with it.

 

I sprung for the Royal Package again but this time for the show at Radio City, NYC. It was fun last go round. I sold some of the swag so it was cheaper this way plus I got a great front row seat and made friends with 2 other nice Crimsoners that are going again as well including Gregg who I met here too.

 

20 additional Celebration seats for the NYC show were made available this morning. I was able to grab a pair!

would be nice to know the full itinerary. if I had to I could get to LA but I would rather see them in SF. gonna presume they will come up north but I have been bitten before hoping for that...
