Well, I guess now I know where all the money is going that I saved by not buying several of the headline boxed sets in 2018.

At this rate, they should reissue the Larks' Tongues In Aspic: Complete Recordings box too.
    Complete? Not even close.

I also wonder who did the new 5.1 remix of The Court.
Probably Steven Wilson since he was the man who originally did the job?

Great stuff and a wonderful 2019 to all KC members past, present and thanks to all those who have sadly departed. I would like to see Mr Fripp honoured by our establishment in the UK. I shall purchase all the 69 and 70s material.

KING CRIMSON - CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
Posted by Sid Smith on Jan 13, 2019

On the evening of Monday January 13th, 1969, King Crimson formally began rehearsals in the basement of the Fulham Palace Road Cafe. After hauling their equipment down the stairs into their cramped rehearsal room Greg Lake, Ian McDonald, Michael Giles, Robert Fripp plugged in their instruments, and with Peter Sinfield operating lights and sound, played and worked on material for the next hour and a half.

By July of that year, the band was performing in Hyde Park on the same bill as The Rolling Stones to an audience of up to 500,000 people. By October, the debut album: “In the Court of the Crimson King” was in the Top 5 of the UK album charts, shortly followed by a top 30 position in the US album charts and a No 1 slot – replacing Abbey Road – in the Japanese international chart. By December, following a series of US concerts finishing at San Francisco’s Fillmore West, the band’s first line-up had imploded.

But that was just the beginning…

Noticed that it started "a new 5.1 remix." Good, as the existing version has vocals blasting from the center channel.

Is that wrong having the vocals fixed and centre rather than phantom centre ?

Not sure if "wrong" is the right word. It's personal preference. The Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms 20th Anniversary SACD applied that same technique.

Nevertheless, surround mixing evolved since that time with more balance. The center channel isn't otherwise "phantom." Notice that Steven Wilson hasn't mixed with the blasting center since then. So if you like it that way, stick with the '09.

David Singleton had already said that Canada would be part of the North American swing. For Toronto, it's only a matter of where. With renovations at Massey Hall, safe bet on return to Queen Elizabeth Theater.
