if Paul Stanley is to be believed KISS will carry on long after they are gone i.e.: family business run by Evan Stanley and Gene's son
Not for the concert that was recorded for Alive! I saw them later on there in 1977. Cobo was always my favorite place to see a show.
Hey, does anyone know what was done to FOREVER for the single version? I know it was remixed, but I can't figure out what specifically was changed, any info?
Very cool. And now known as the TCF Center... It's official: Cobo's new name is TCF Center I got to see them there in '87 on the Crazy Nights tour. Would have loved to have seen the original 4 lineup back in the day but I was a bit too young.
Remix was a bit cleaner/clearer than the original. They did the same thing for the single version of Rise To It as well.
I don't think so. Not even sure what state the arena is in. I know the auto companies would use it for presentations during Auto Show week, but it's been several years since I've seen anything there.
I've had an idea: as a way of breaking down Ace's solos, I'm going to find licks that he uses often and list the songs that use those licks, to see what goes into his playing, or just cuz I want to.
HO HO HO with Vinnie Vincent, your shredding Santa Claus VINNIE VINCENT's Merry Metal Christmas Dates Announced
I've never paid for a Meet and Greet. I wouldn't ever pay for a Meet and Greet. If given the opportunity I'd like to quietly say 'thank you' to a few of my favorite artists but ultimately I'm embarrassed by the concept of paying someone to say to say 'hello' to me. And I wouldn't pay $500 to see anybody. Nor any sporting event etc. That said, if you buy a KISS ticket with a Meet and Greet you know they're going to show up. If you buy a Super Bowl ticket you know the game with happen. With Vinnie you just don't know. And where is the 20 second video of Vinnie 'shredding'? There's been no definitive evidence that he can still play that style of music, his recent history is of multiple cancellations and promises not kept. But still he seems to believe the fans should meet him not just halfway, but all the way. Will he be giving out the infamous box sets that he owes (two copies each remember?!)? I didn't make that promise, Vinnie did.
Ace is holding a free concert in Jersey at Nielson Dodge on Sept. 27. I bet those guys in KISS are jealous now...lol.. Ace Frehley Concert (Free)
