I was patient: 35 years later, replaced my original collection plus some: https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/instant-kiss-cd-collection.966997/ If you recall my original plight: Threw my KISS records ouuuuut! You? Much thanks to @Andersoncouncil and to this little Forum! @Steve Hoffman
I had posted that ad in some thread but I figured anyone in the thread probably had most or all of them. Congrats!
Wow! I don’t know if it’s the 1997 remasters or now actually having a decent system or a combination of both, but they are sounding great! (I’ve read that folks like the remasters - +1.) So much better than the original pressing LPs I had. Cherry on top.
Indeed! I thought Love Gun, Creatures Of The Night (with make-up Vinnie) and the make-up versions of Asylum and Revenge looked cool.
That was fun. It struck me looking through those that Ken Kelly, as good as his work is overall, had a lot of trouble capturing Ace Frehley for some reason. He did a good job with Ace on the standard Destroyer cover, but Ace on the other Kelly artwork looks very weird. I'm not expecting photorealism, of course, but the other Aces don't really capture the vibe of Ace.
I think we're witnessing the upcoming KISS reality show, now auditioning for the role of the Starchild......
Ha. I was thinking the same thing as I watched. "So along with Singer and Thayer, is this the guy next in line to join Kiss when Paul finally hangs it up?" But I was also thinking any minute that door would open and his dad would be there trying to tell him dinner's ready. And I was also hoping said dad would be carrying an axe to chop his stupid arm off. Lose the capo, dammit.
I disagree, but I guess it depends on what your prefer...I love AIC, but can't stand Bon Jovi, so naturally I much prefer Carnival of Souls to any of their later 80s output.
Not quite sure where you get the autotune from...but I love his passion for KISS and his creativity of using clips of Bruce.
Wait. I thought that video was in conjunction with Bruce Kulick. So that's just some spare prancing around in his room and singing (badly) to "Creatures of the Night" with Bruce Kulick licks spliced in from an instructional video?
