Kraftwerk albums reissued as limited vinyl pressings

Parlophone will issue eight Kraftwerk albums on limited edition coloured vinyl in October.

Autobahn (1974), Radio-Activity (1975), Trans-Europe Express (1977), The Man-Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The Mix (1991) and Tour De France (2003) are the UK albums in question. Each will be pressed on 180g coloured vinyl (mostly translucent colours) and all come with 12, 16 or 20-page booklets.

They're the 2009 remasters according to SDE.

2009 remasters, identical to the standalone releases apart from the colour of the vinyl. They haven't even stuck a box around it.

Minimum/Maximum still remains frustratingly out of print on vinyl (and should have a silver vinyl release).

German editions in coloured vinyl are also absurdly expensive.

The 2009 reissues sound quite good to me, I might bite on a couple of these.

I recently picked up the 70's reissue of the first two on vertigo spaceship label.
They use the same stampers as the Philips. They sound wonderful and after living with bootlegs of these forever they are a revelation.
Ralph and Florian is another record they like to ignore along with 1 and 2.
It's amazing to me how even in the days of tradition instruments the rhythms and grooves are already there. All they did was switch over to electronics with everything in place.
Love this band and God Bless Florian r.I.p

I've only compared Autobahn, but I actually prefer the remaster.

Is that the Exceller 8 double LP? I'd like Ralf and Florian too. They both came in a second hand record shop I used to work in years ago but it was before I was so interested.

You've possibly read it here because I was very excited about it, I got an original UK RCA Tone Float LP a couple of weeks ago cheaply.

    Thanks!

Good work in getting that album too. They don't show up often at all. I know the one you mean, I got it mixed up with the Exceller 8 compilation.

A repressing of these and R+F is long overdue. They are excellent albums.

These seem nice. Been meaning to get the German versions on LP so I preordered TEE, DMM and CW.

Nice that you get booklets with the albums. Have ordered Autobahn and Radioactivity to add to my 2009 copies of TDF, Man Machine, Computerworld, and TEE.

Yes indeed there are. I am personally not that thrilled with either of those albums. So what I consider three core classic albums will suffice for me.

Not at JPC. In fact they cost the same as the international versions.

It's mostly the German versions that are in the shops here, apart from The Mix, the German version of that seems to be quite rare and its only the English version you see in stores.

Was there a reason the original cover art was hacked up?

Looks like the German vinyl costs have come down considerably now : I will be going for this, as I don't have the German Language versions on any vinyl format, just the original 1986-1994 CD issues of the German language versions.
