I've just found that what is widely considered the best movie from my country is available on YouTube with English subtitles. This is just an invitation to watch it, hoping you enjoy it:

I have watched it many years ago after I met my wife (who is Colombian) and it was indeed very good, although back then my spanish wasn't quite up to the task of understanding everything. I guess I'm ripe for a rewatch now!

La gente de la universal and La vendedora de rosas are also excellent colombian movies that I'd recommend.
