I was supposed to go see Metronomy and (sigh) Iggy Pop I'm a huge fan of. The last one I saw was long before the shutdown, The Mystery Lights on January 29th.
Had to make a work trip to Evansville, Indiana back in October (2019). I had some scheduling flexibility and planned it around Wilco playing at The Palace Theater. I'd seen them about a month earlier in Atlanta. Anyway, had not idea that would prove to the the last show for a while - I had tickets for a number of shows this year, including a now rescheduled Band of Horses show next Sunday night in Charlotte. Its funny - and kind of unrelated, but my wife and I were talking at dinner tonight about all the things we did in the past couple of weeks that are going to prove to be our "last time we did this" for a while.
They are such good musicians that even when they are not trying they turn in a pretty good show. When they are hot, they are amazing.
