In all fairness, The Batman probably wouldn't benefit from the 4K/HDR treatment, unless you're running a top-spec OLED display that can exhibit those seriously deep, dark black levels. This film was SERIOUSLY dark and almost muted in color; at times, I thought something was wrong with my display's sharpness control (watching the 1080p Blu-ray) because some scenes literally dropped out of focus.

I didn't like the film enough to buy it, after I analyzed it mentally following our viewing.

This was actually an error, LOL; I meant to post in the "What Was the Last XXXXX You Watched" thread because I watched it last night. I've had it in my collection for years.

But, yes, this was a better prequel story, IMO, than Paul Schraeder's Dominion (which came out before Renny Harlin's The Beginning). I actually sold my DVD copy of Dominion because I thought it was a lethargically-paced bore of a film.

    2 secondhand DVDs. €2 each + post.

Bloodsuckers (1971) aka incense for the damned. This is not a good film, but I got it for my Brit horror collection.
It's a different cut of the film. Incense is the uncut version. I have a dvdr & a VHS recorded off the TV of that already.

Edge of terror (1986) This also has a few different titles. I hadn't heard of it. It's an atmospheric thriller from what I know starring the actress with the alien looking eyes from they live.

Watched these last night. Mandy is a very disturbing, very unusual film but I ended up liking it. Hansel & Gretel was very enjoyable.
