At a Sunrise Records mall shop yesterday: the latest CDs from Springsteen, Daltrey, Santana and Silversun Pickups.
First time listening to this album on the way to work and its wonderful! John's remasters tend to get a bad rep around here.

Man, it's getting even harder to buy CDs. No more at Best Buy, barely there at Target and it certainly looks like Barnes & Noble is about to flush them down the drain too. Went to two local branches over the weekend, both having just slashed the size of the CD area down by about half once again. At both locations, one of the long CD racks was given over to bargain priced books and it was 30% off all CDs (so, close to normal prices). Yeah yeah, this is inevitable and the way things are, but it's getting really sad to see places to browse falling away.

28 years to grab that Cocteau Box Eric? I'm shocked!... Surprisingly my local carried it retail when released, bought it, two years later only the discs were stolen, bought it again... Logo design changed somewhat on the box.
Today at My local Iceland Food Store. They had a Charity Stall got 6x CD's for £1. Sinatra Nothing But The Best Reprise German issue CD. Neil Diamond You Don't Bring Me Flowers Austria issue CD. The Essential Barbra Streisand 2 disc Austria issue CD. Stephen Triffitt Celebrates Sinatra With The Nelson Riddle Orchestra EU issue CD. Manilow Sing's Sinatra EU issue CD. Barry Manilow This Is My Town Songs Of New York EU issue CD. What a morning 9 x Cd's and 2 vinyl albums all for very little, well stoked, Floyd.
I figured you might say something about that. I've been going through all of my Cocteau Twins stuff to verify that the masterings I have are the best. Along the way, I realized that I never owned this and my local store had a used one for $30 so I picked it up. I think I'm mostly set now. I need to do a deep dive into (I'm assuming one exists) the forum's Cocteau thread to fill in the gaps. I should note that just about everything there was purchased used for (mostly) dirt cheap.
Excellent price, I'd like to find a couple more for dirt cheap (just for the box)- they make good discography holders.
Just bought: I really need to stay off that Esoteric Recordings website, but I’ve seen this box set several times and listened to some of Sky and Sky2 via YouTube and was rather impressed with what I heard. Interesting that classical guitarist John Williams and Curved Air member Francis Monkman are in the band.
I have all the original Sky albums on vinyl I bought them new back in the day, they are great recordings I like first 3 albums best, Enjoy Floyd.
Gary Numan-Savage:Songs From A Broken World, 2017 Ruin has been stuck in my head for a week, so I figured it was time to grab the album Ordered the standard book edition (DLX) and Amazon sent me the Japan, that was nice of them. Included a sticker.
