Hugo. Charming movie, but not picture of the year.
    Another great Kingsley performance, though.

My turn on The Descendents this weekend. You guys really have me wondering what I'm gonna see.

Last evening I viewed To Catch A Thief on BD. I really enjoyed it as I hadn't seen it for about 30 years. I was on the bus with Hitchcock.

I watched From Here To Eternity on a Superbit DVD that's been on the shelf for a decade.

Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy found it hard to follow at times, maybe because I was tired when I started watching it. The BR has excellent video and good audio.

I'm about three-quarters of the way through the FlashForward DVD set. I've been impressed with the acting of Christine Woods in this show, and haven't seen her since except for one brief part in an episode of Castle. She's a good actress, I think.

    Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
It shows where the foundation for all our present X Factor - Voice -Got Talent -and other silly contestant shows, first came from.

To deduce that, you must spy for the FBI or CIA man... I liked it's dark humour and total daftness. The Gong Show was sometimes rather entertaining. It would of been better if they hadn't bleeped out J.P. Morgan so frequently. That woman had the evil eye workin' at mojo, warp speed...

I viewed The Ten Commandments BD last night. It looked darned good. Paramount didn't cheap out on this one. I guess they're tired of getting embarrassed....I hope.

I watched Desiree on BD. Brando was surprisingly good as Napoleon.

Over the last two evenings I watched Mission Impossible I, II and III. I still think the third one is the best, or at least the most fun to watch.

I watched "Klute" last night and didn't particularly like it.

Not deduce...but re-familiarise. It is only about 18 months ago I saw a then current show still using the old Gong Show device. I can remember quiz and audition radio shows as a young kid that had titles like '"The Amatuer Hour" or "Are you an Artist?" Usually promoted by say, some laundry soap powder company.,,,with unforgettable captions, including "Buy two packets..use one for the laundry and one for ...the kitchen sink"
Imagine today what people would say, if they saw others sprinking straight out clothes washing powder into the kitchen sink to wash dishes!
People back then, used to sometimes complain of 'taste taint' and streak marks left behind on dishes.

Watched the extended version of "The Town" the other night. If only Hollywood stayed on the path of making films of this quality, it would not be in the trouble, it is.

Finally watched Slum Dog Millionaire. It was surprisingly good even while being depressing at the same time.
