Last evening I revisited The Conspirator BD.

Season Of The Witch

Both were entertaining.

 

My son has been going through my extensive library of DVDs & Blu rays, and in turn, reminding me of what great taste I have to have bought them in the first place !

Osmosis Jones! fun...

 

one of the most exciting releases in quite a bit! loved it.

 

Gone With The Wind was my BD du jour, yesterday. Between the extras and intermission, I spent all day long watching it.

 

$9.99, had to pull the trigger.

 

indeed...worth every penny and more.

 

In Time

An interesting idea and film. A few plotholes and motivations that didn't make sense but I think that cut have been due to backstory scenes being deleted maybe.

Also the time currency seems easier to steal and less secure then existing cash or credit cards.

The Hot Spot

Taped it more out of curiosity because AP has released the soundtrack on SACD.
The music is good and though I'm not sure how it will stand up as an actual album, I liked it enough that I will buy the SACD.

Movie was so-so though that one quick beach scene with Jennifer Connolly was worth the price of admisson.
Virginia Madsen was hot too

 

1) Miss Bala: this is a keeper. Probably the best movie I've seen this year. Reminds me somewhat of Sin Nombre in style. Gritty, realistic, intense, well developed characters. It will definitely make my personal top 10 list for 2012.

2) War of the Arrows: rent it, and then forget it. Just not that good.

 

I thought that the story was too vague. Maybe Koreans understand it but I think the rest of us that don't know the history of the Manchu have to wonder and guess.

 

Capitalism: A Love Story

Wow. This film and all of the bonus features should be required viewing for every person in the USA. Hopefully democracy will be able to fight its way back still within my lifetime.

 

SUPERIOR AUDIO & VIDEO+US IS Theatrical Cut Only, Whereas UK is EXTENDED CUT.

 

A visual delight that is also quite charming.

 

I've started watching Twin Peaks, the Gold Box edition. I've never revisited this since it was broadcast. . . I wasn't a huge fan. But it's a good show.

 

Last night's BD was Men In Black 2. The universe is safe again, saved by an organization that's only alleged...
