    Daniel Plainview God's Lonely Man

Silver Lining Playbook –I liked it a little more than the others. I like the lady actor. She captivated me.

Lincoln – I liked the acting. Especially Tommy Lee.

Zero Dark Thristy – I liked it. Lady actor was good. Torture was realistic and troubling. Stealthy climax was cool.

Argo – I think I fell asleep for about 20 minutes so maybe I can’t review it. Wasn’t that impressed.

Les Miserables – only got halfway (90 minutes, sheesh). Wife is a fan. I am unfamiliar with the source material. But baby kept interrupting so we ran out of time and had to return it. I was getting restless anyway. What’s this thing about? The man? The revolution? The love triangle? Get on with it. And yes, I am a Fletch fan.

Prometheus – OK. Not quite as ‘all that’ as I heard.

Identity Theft – piece of garbage. Major letdown from usually trustworthy Hogan Family guy and heavy-set woman.

Before Sunset – ooh-la-la! Look up “resonate” in the dictionary.

This Is 40 – This is lame-o. Cut 40 minutes and maybe I'll reconsider.

Superman The Movie – still the best comic adaption ever. Screw Dark Knight Returns, this movie touches you here (points to heart). Not just here (points to something not heart)….here (points to heart)! All the herky-jerky action and gruff dialogue is no substitute for slow, sweeping panoramic shots of young Clark and Ma Kent leaving Pa’s gravesite. You gotta let the thing breathe. Give us a chance to pause, reflect, FEEL. Do you understand me?

Blues Brothers – loved this growing up. Haven’t sat down and watched from start to finish in a long long time. I had a lot of fun. Good times. Great cameos. I met John Lee Hooker when I was 7 years old thanks to this film. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.

Saving Private Ryan – I like it.

Black Narcissus – I love it. I remember I bought the Criterion Red Shoes DVD and there was a bonus feature showing snippets of other film by The Archers. I watched them with various levels of interest, but then came Black Narcissus, and BAM! I could not get my hands on this movie fast enough. It’s too bad the clip included a major spoiler, but it didn’t hamper my enjoyment in any way. Fantastic film. I love the colors.

Boogie Nights – IFC’s been showing this thing every weekend and I usually end up watching it in some capacity. Burt was robbed.

Mrs. Doubtfire – I had a hankering, and sure enough it was on TV, so I scratched the itch. It’s got a bad rap. It’s good family entertainment.

Crocidile Dundee II - I like it. I like helping the madman storm the palace.

Finished Season 2 of "Battlestar Galactica" and started Season 3. Not many other movies get squeezed in while we are watching this. Top notch!

    That's a flick that I'm partial to.

I finished Trek NG season 3 this morning. The last quarter of the season has a bunch of really good episodes. The Most Toys is a fav'.
