Same at my local store they had yellow stickers on them & some were on a back endcap , also saw Chilli peppers $12
Abba Voyage Target exclusive came up $25 for me at the scanning machine. I’ll be checking a few more stores.
Well I found the Abba today. It had a clearance sticker. This store had many copies; some with a $12 sticker and some with a $8 sticker. No Prince there, but they did have the newest Billie Eillish for $18.15 with clearance sticker. They had the Peppers Dream album, but no sticker and I didn’t check the price because I already have it. The next store I checked had nothing but that Florida/Georgia solo album. So it seems store dependent, at least where I live.
My local Target (Columbus, Ohio) had about 6 copies, all scanned at $7.79. No clearance stickers. Not placed on the end-cap - mixed in with the regular albums for sale.
I finally found a Prince. The only one at the fourth store I’ve been to. It had a clearance sticker for $13 but scanned $8.
Somewhat of a markdown: found a random copy of Pearl Jam's "Ten" on Purple vinyl for $17. I think it's usually 21-22 bucks. I also thought it was not circulating anymore but I guess it still is.
Went looking for the Prince, no luck, but found Eminem's Curtain Call 2 for $17.99 (regularly $59.99), and Jack White Fear of the Dawn for $12.49 (regular $24.99), both on colored vinyl.
Stopped in at a Target in NJ today. Vinyl was very well stocked w a number of those purple Pearl Jam Ten mentioned previously but nothing was on clearance when I took them to the in store price scanner. Not even the Christmas albums they had left LOL.
Picked up a few titles: Third Eye Blind - A Collection 2LP $10.49 ABBA - Voyage $7.79 Bob Marley - Exodus (w/tshirt) $11.99 They also had Nirvana Nevermind for $17.49, regularly $24.99, which I passed on.
Saw Offspring's Let the Bad Times Roll for 7.49 Nine Inch Nails - Not the Actual Events 4.49 (shelf tag, albums were sold out) Jack White Fear of the Dawn 7.49 YMMV on the following: One store I went to over the weekend had 3 milk crates full of vinyls (which I appreciated them doing) marked as Repackage at 30% off likely to get rid of excess inventory since their shelf space was also full of other albums. Ones I remember seeing were: Meghan Trainor's Takin It Back (also 50% off repackage at another store) Soundtracks for The Bodyguard, The Mandalorian, Romy and Michelle, and Black Panther Wakanda Forever Now That's What I Call Music Classic Rock and Hip Hop Party AC/DC Back in Black Post Malone 12 Carat Toothache Olivia Newton John's Greatest Hits Florida Georgia Line's Greatest Hits Metallica's Black Album The Weeknd Highlights Bo Burnham's big box set Sam Cooke Portrait of A Legend Go-Go's Greatest Hits Summer of Soul Compilation Ozzy's Patient Number 9 Kid Cudi Entergalactic Earth, Wind, & Fire's Best of Mareen Morris Humble Quest Mary J Blige's Reflections
Saw a few more on clearance: Def Leppard - Diamond Star Halos - 13.49 Kendrick Lamar - Damn - 10.49 (shelf tags only) Santana - Blessings and Miracles - 9.29 The Animals - A Retrospective - 24.49 clearance sticker on it (scanned not in system)
Found some more: 70% Aaliyah - One in a Million - 7.49 50% RHCP - Return of the Dream Canteen - 18.99 Demi Lovato - Holy Fvck - 17.49 John Legend - Legend - 19.99 Eddie Vedder - Earthing - 19.99 Tears For Fears - The Tipping Point - 11.49 Ozzy Osbourne - Patient Number 9 - 17.49 Queen - Greatest Hits Vol 2 - 17.49 15% Fugees - The Score - 21.24
