OK, thanks. Here in SoCal I have checked a lot of different Target stores in the last year but they all seem to have already gone through their endocarp/clearance phase, if they had one. I just ended up giving in and finally buying an Isbell at regular price two weeks ago. Of course I would pick some up as gifts if I did find them on clearance...

Found the Target exclusive edition of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit’s Weathervanes at my local Target on clearance for 50% off at $15.99. It wasn’t marked, just happened to come across it with the in-store scanner.

Imagine my surprise when I went to my local Target a couple of weeks ago to pickup an online order and I roamed through the store before picking up the online order and when I got to the vinyl section there it was. A 12" red vinyl Beatles Now And Then record. This was technically sold out almost everywhere in my geographic region but there it was. I was totally good with paying retail for it. :righton:

Ours actually had Taylor Swift on clearance for $21. For the Midnights album. Is it almost over;)? Sign of the apocalypse?

I found one near me the exact same way. $21 is steep for two songs, so I left it there for some other lucky soul to happen upon.

I have seen just 2 here in Temecula. The first time I didn't buy it and about a month later another one came around. I left it for about a week and it was still there so I picked it up a few days ago. I have only seen two. I did get the 7 inch clear vinyl at Walmart but that has been the only version of it I have seen there at all. The 12 inch red vinyl Target exclusive sounds better to me than the 7 inch it seems a bit quieter.

I can pick that one up too at my Target stores near me...but since hearing If We Were Vampires by him I have been sort of turned off.
Are there depressing songs on Weathervanes?

I inititaly listened to it on Spotify and thought it was ok. He was on Austin City Limits a couple weeks ago and played a lot of the album and I decided i needed it.
I think its one of his best since Southeastern.

Update on the Isbell record… marked down again, this time to 70% off ($9.59) if you can find it at your local Target. I was able to purchase another one at the lower price and then returned it immediately using the barcode from the first purchase I made.

His last few albums have been slow burns for me. Especially Weathervanes. I think I listened to it one time and then walked away for a few months. But then I come back to it and listened to it and by last month I was listening to it five times a week.

I agree that it’s the best since Southeastern, even though I didn’t originally think so. There are few artists I trust to put out good music as much as Jason Isbell, so I gave it multiple chances. Very glad I did.
