Does anyone know if the current Blu-ray edition of Laura puts the cut scene with Clifton Webb back into the film? It's one of my mom's favorite movies, and I guess the version they show on TCM is more complete than the older DVD (which, I think, includes the deleted scene in the extras section). Thanks!

It‘s only available as an extra on the BR as well.

    Very cool.

I suppose I should add that when it comes to noir I really want to see the 120 minute version of Guest in the House 1944 featuring Anne Baxter's dry run at the cold manipulative femme fatale she would perfect in All About Eve, but only 100 minute version seems available anywhere.

It's branched so you can play it with or without. I've got the USA Region free bluray. You've even got Vincent price singing in the cut scenes.
The cut scenes are worthless and the movie is better without them.
Laura is one of my all time favourite film noir.

Hi all, I've posted this before on another thread but thought you guys might get a kick out of this. Gene was my great aunt--my maternal grandfather's sister. She died when I was in my teens, so unfortunately I hadn't seen her movies, but I spent some time with her. She was a fantastic lady, funny and kind. Her husband Howard Lee adored her and she was very happy in her later years. We only have a few pictures of her in the family albums--there are lots more in other parts of the family probably.

She was indeed a magnificent lady. A lady of class and style. For me, laura was her peak. I remember watching the movie when very young. We were a movie watching family and it those days(late 60s 70s) growing up, The Uk tv channels showed classic movies all the time. Sadly, they show none nowadays.
So i grew up watching the legends, as did my best friends. At an early age we had an avid appreciation of movies
Laura is as good as it gets. GT was sheer class.
