Layer Cake (film) 2004

I can't believe there is not a thread about this film. In terms of stylized crime films this is one of the best modern ones imo.

I've watched this film a few times and never seems to get old. Good story, good actors, action, comedy etc.

Are there other films in this vein that are also good?

 

Not the same thing at all really but if you enjoyed ' Layer Cake ' you may enjoy Daniel Craig in 'Knives Out '
'Lock , Stock and Two Smoking Barrels ' may be to your liking too.
And ' The Long Good Friday '

 

Yes I liked those.

 

You might enjoy 'Get Carter' (the original) which is where they stole a lot of the story ideas (particularly the end).

 

Before he became director (of this great film),Mr. Vaughn was the producer for Guy Ritchie's first two films, "Lock, Stock.." & "Snatch".
Of course, he's gone on to surpass Mr. Richie in terms of successful films!

 

Yes a classic.

 

Layer Cake is great.

 

Yes, this is an excellent film. If you like Craig, check Logan Lucky. A quirky caper film.
