I totally agree, I think it’s a fantastic song and don’t get why it has more votes than You Really Got a Hold on Me for instance.

OP why can't you post a link in the last round to the new round? That way everybody gets alerted.

Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You again for me. We're getting some traction in eliminating these two...

    DQ:
Original Composition: Hold Me Tight :hide:
Cover: Till There Was You :hide:
(And both have been axed already)

Another thing I'd like to add before Ringo gets his songs eliminated, I'm glad these made it past 3 rounds instead of getting voted out during either Rounds 1 and 2 like before. Shame they both seem to be exiting at Round 4 though...

Where's the Ringo love?? Boys is excellent (and a Hollywood Bowl standout), and I Wanna Be Your Man ain't chopped liver.

A tad surprised at the results.

Honestly I think "I Wanna Be Your Man" should have been knocked out sooner. Substandard lyrics and it was done better by the Stones.

Don’t understand the hate for “I wanna hold your man,” as John called it. A great vocal by Ringo’s standards, and a rocking performance by the group. Love John and Paul’s harmony vocals. Yeah, it’s kind of a stupid song, but I voted for PS I Love You and Do You Want To Know a Secret on the grounds that they’re just as stupid, a lot less fun, and “Man” isn’t trying to be anything other than a simple fun rock song. The other two are trying but failing to be convincing ballads.

I think there's an argument for I Wanna Be Your Man, but not for Boys.

Still, I Wanna Be Your Man has a great break in the middle. It loses a little steam at the end, admittedly.

It's near the bottom of my Paul list too, but I like it better than "Single Pigeon" and "I Am Your Singer". :shh:

I prefer the Anthology 1 performances of IWBYM and Boys than either the BBC or album versions. Wish Boys was a little bit longer.

I agree with you about "Boys".

But "I Wanna Be Your Man" is chopped liver.
