It's the same rules as usual - vote for your two least favourite songs.

Question: What are your top three favourite Beatles bass lines?

    Results so far:
Round 1: Real Love, Free as a Bird
Round 2: If I Fell, And I Love Her
Round 3: I Want to Hold Your Hand, Please Please Me
Round 4: You Never Give Me Your Money, She Loves You
Round 5: I Saw Her Standing There, I Feel Fine

Voted for "A Hard Day's Night" and "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)".

Question: Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, Hey Bulldog, Something

Paul was good at making great bass lines for the others' songs.

As someone who plays the bass, that doesn't surprise me. It's a lot easier to play more intricate bass lines when I'm not singing.

This is hard because some of these are among my favorite Beatles' songs. But I'm going to go with Rain.

I don't know about three but I always notice the bassline for Nowhere Man now, which is my favourite Beatles song too.

While I'd never demand any of these go stand in the corner, I burned out on "Hey Jude" back in the 80's, and "TNK" can get tiresome if you're not in the right mood.

Thinking about it it gets quite hard to pick just 3 tracks. Listening so many times to these songs one may loose objective look on bass part and other aspects of the song. They all are so integral part of every Beatles tune even the bass lines played by John or George. But that’s on the surface. If you go deeper into it and start thinking about it I would say that to me the most impactful bass lines that Paul came up with would be as follows:

    A Day In The Life
    Something
    Hey Bulldog
    And Your Bird Can Sing
    Lucy In Sky With Diamonds

These would be to me the pinnacle of Paul’s efforts as the bass player with The Beatles. It is interesting to note that these songs are mostly not Paul’s (except for A Day In The Life “woke up ...” part).

Sad that "Hey Jude" appears to be on the verge of getting the boot :(

It should be a punishable offence to vote for either "Penny Lane" or "Strawberry Fields Forever"

Those songs are all good so I can’t vote. Should have put Lovely Rita or When I’m 64 on there..

EDIT: I take that back, Hey Jude goes on way too long.

Due to the three way tie between Norwegian Wood, Eleanor Rigby and Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End, the song that got the highest votes last time will get knocked out, and that's the Golden Slumbers medley.
