I just wanted to say thank you for all of your work on this , and, genuinely, thank you for your Hendrix work in the past.

I'm downloading your Zeppelin set at some point this weekend as a Birthday gift to myself. I'm going to sit back with some Michter's whiskey and listen to your fine work.

In fact, if you wouldn't mind, I'm going to pretend you did this for my Birthday:D, so...cheers!

Hello, I just tried to open the Japan one and it didn't recognise the passcode, has it changed?

    Thanks.

No change. as the Prof said.
I assume you tried multiple times?
    No caps?
No space between the two words?
Dodgy keyboard which types multiple times when you hit a letter once (just like I have right now actually with the letter "a")
Have you grabbed the BBC? If so, whaat happened there?

Not sure if you mean you downloaded Japan a few times?
If just the once, maybe it corrupted? It's possible.

A minor correction regarding the Hendrix 1967-08-24 'Top of the Pops' recording. The DJ was Pete Murray, not Simon Dee. Dee was last hosting that show in March 1967 after which his own show "Dee Time" premiered the following month which featured Jimi and the Experience guesting on the first edition. Naturally, the BBC wiped it.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing your impeccable work on those sessions.

Try the password with no "d" on the end. That worked for me.

What's additional on the new set compared to the 2016? Is the session with Sunshine Woman in better quality?

    For the most part:
Whole Lotta Love is longer (20 minutes vs 13 minutes)
White Summer-Black Mountain Side acoustic TV performance (very nice!)

You also get host introductions, commentary, band interviews, in-between song banter and uncut complete song performances (ie Its You Thing fully restored in Communication Breakdown from 6/27)

Yes - and I believe the Alexis Korner session, including Sunshine Woman, is presented here in slightly better quality. Prof Stoned has used the best-sounding bootleg as his source for this session, as the official release for some reason did not use the best-sounding source. There is of course a hard limit to the quality of this session because it's only available from an AM radio recording (the master tape was wiped by BBC decades ago). But the combination of slightly better source and good mastering makes Prof Stone's version noticeably better (not to mention that if memory serves the official release has about 1.5 seconds missing from the end of one track because of an early fade or some such).

Thank you very much for posting this info. Looking forward to hearing this. I tried to do similar when the 2016 "Complete" set came out, but didn't quite get around to finishing it and certainly wasn't doing any EQ adjustment.

Yes, I did a complete(ish) one too but only EQ'd/remastered the bootleg patching sources to match the sound of the 2016 official release. Prof Stoned's version remasters everything and improves the sound across the board.

I first heard the BBC transcription on WMMR, the local AOR powerhouse, in Philadelphia circa 1979. My favorite cut was How Many More Times. The program host introduction was the best. Does the Complete version include Robert introducing the band?

    Thank you.

Now how about re-instating Hello Mary Lou into Whole Lotta Live on How The West Was Won?

Note: Need to start a thread about which WLL medley is the best medley?
