I read about this: another ripoff like the Egypt Station suitcase. It seems to be packed with lots of redundant things: “Exclusive fabric bag designed and manufactured by Made Worn in Los Angeles, with custom metal Wildflowers closure” and “Wildflowers logo cloth patch” and “Handmade bead necklace, in pouch” and a lot more” The 4 CD set, which I suppose has all (or nearly all of) the musical contents, is on sale at the very reasonable price of 50 bucks, more or less.
Fine, a-la Paul’s Archive Collection. We’re talking about the 500 $ box, which in my opinion is redundant.
I am wondering if we've got this backwards. Yes, it makes great sense to launch the film and associated box sets together - but why not take two bites of the cherry and sell the box set at Christmas and then market it again heavily when the film comes out? Also: given the depths of recession we are about to hit, it might make more sense to launch them separately so people can afford both, rather than together which might make people less likely to buy/see one. Finally, I don't put much stock in what Ringo says about launch dates - I strongly doubt he is involved in marketing decisions; he only needs to know what they need him to do. If you read his quote, he's just presuming.
And also if the set has been postponed, then why is the official Get Back book still scheduled for October 15th 2020? strange days indeed.
The book has been pushed into 2021 as well. The publisher Callaway Arts recently announced that fact. So no book in 2020.
I still have a delivery date estimated to the 27th of October myself (on my Amazon Germany account). But Arnold is correct in quoting and reminding us of what ronbow had been advised by the publisher. I'm really regretting not having an official communication from Apple and The Beatles at that stage.
5 takes of "For You Blue" and only 1 outtake from the January 31st session makes it highly suspect, IMO.
It could be an approximate tracklist for the box set and I find it interesting. Quite obviously, the soundtrack of the movie will provide more.
Left hand.... Right hand In my Amazon Orders, it says the Get Back book is now arriving Friday. I assume I’ll open an envelope and pull out “No Image Available”. So excited!!
