On a side note, fans have been experimenting with new Mono to Stereo software and the results sound impressive. I hope Apple uses this technology for the Nagra Tapes.

Just a thought, will Phil Spector be consulted for the Audio release of this project?
Love him or hate him and whatever he has done it would be brilliant to hear a fresh new interview from him over his role in LIB.

In reports which may have been in mono but are now in stereo,
Apple *may* have written a letter to Phil and got this reply:

    Dear Giles,
From now on, nobody is allowed to mess with my work.
I would like the following changes to be made to Let It Be 50th Anniversary Remix

    1. Increase the volume of the ladies' singing on The Long and Winding Road until I can't hear the inmates rioting outside when I play it.
    2. Turn The Beatles' playing down on every track that had harp on it.
    3. Make 'I Me Mine' twice as long by having it as track 7 AND track 8.
    4. Don't do it again

    Nope.
Next big anniversary date is George's birthday on February 25. Maybe some news will be ready to mention by then.

Hopefully they’ll announce a ATMP set on George’s birthday but I doubt they would tie in any Beatles group releases on that date.

Unless they decide to release a group rehearsal take of the song "All Things Must Pass" from January 1969 as an audio sneak peak.

Then the next big anniversary date is March 6, when the song "Let It Be" was released as a single in 1970.

I would tend to think a March announcement for a May release of a deluxe box (to coincide with the original album release) would be more likely. And the Jackson film getting a fall release with the spotlight all it’s own.
