Bull Moose only ships to the US, which is still ok if you use a freight forwarding service (it just crosses the border at Niagara Falls), but Bull Moose will only take a credit card with a US address which is much harder to get around
Going to wait for price drops on both. Compared to the Lennon and White Album SDEs not much value for money here (and I've been a fan since 1964).
So the book that comes with the SDE is 100 pages and the coffee table book available from Amazon is 240 pages, right? Is there any major difference in the two or is the bigger book just more pics and dialogue?
I believe the Beatles Get Back book is mostly extensive dialog passages from the film reels, organized by date + lots of photos and film stills. Like an update and massive expansion of the photo/dialog book included with the original pressings of the album. Think of this like the book companion to the upcoming documentary series. The 100-page book in the Let it Be SDE may not have much of any dialog from the film reels, other than some pulled quotes, but instead have the typical Paul intro, historical essay about the sessions and release, and then go track by track through what's on the audio—similar to the books for the other Beatles deluxe sets. This is the book companion to the audio set.
My super deluxe from them has a tomorrow delivery date! I hope that holds true, but even if I get it Fri or Sat, that's a big win. Gotta love the moose, indeed!
Same here, mine is scheduled for Thursday from the Moose! It's at my local post office now, so looks good for an early delivery tomorrow!
I am excited for the the release, but disappointed over the content. There are a few gems in the nice to have category. The book looks most interesting. I may even take the plunge on the DVD content. I was against the SDE, but took the plunge with a number of different credits. I usually get my deliveries around noon from AMZ. I noticed the book arrived a few hours later on Tuesday, expecting a late delivery. I'll have you folks to discuss with and the streaming content until then.
B&N LP/tote bag set is coming tomorrow via USPS Priority Mail. Still nothing on CD SDE from Amazon (estimated delivery is next Tuesday).
Lately I’ve been getting ship notification emails on the day prior to release, so it could very well go out today.
So far, got shipping notification from Wal Mart that my copy of their vinyl edition with the prints will be arriving Saturday! Nothing from Amazon yet, but thinking that will arrive early next week. What I'll do tomorrow is get it via iTunes or something, so I have it on release day. With these, the tradition has been me doing something like this, and my daughter or wife will get me the single disc edition of the remix so it's for the car or something like that.
