  1. Paul’s playing fits the song.

I'm in the camp that it's pretty darned good because it's the Beatles and fundamentally the material is great, but I'm also in the camp it was pretty darned unnecessary.

Well, it was a longer set / tracklist than the original

I’m in the camp that wish I’d brought Let it Be Naked on vinyl when it was cheap

it’s the best version of let it be.

I wish you did too, it’s amazing. I got it off eBay 10 years ago for $30. Insane how the prices have risen.

Yep I could have brought time and again - and then it suddenly disappeared and rocketed

I know the feeling! I really wanted that Marie Antoinette soundtrack Barnes & Noble had two years ago. I had it in my cart and kept putting it off. It sold out and goes for $300 now! :realmad:

My new rule is if I know I kinda want something and it's not going to break the wallet, just buy it. I can always sell it and break even down the road if I end up not wanting it.

Then you'd be complaining about having to buy two extra discs for the useless Fly on the Wall CD. They still included it right?

Actually Giles and Sam's version is, but you are allowed to believe what you want.

Actually no. Naked removed 2 songs, however short, and added only one and is 3 to 6 seconds shorter depending on the version of the original.

22 minutes on a 7"? Is that even possible? I had to look, it's extremely truncated. I'm sure, it's still just as useless.

McCartney did kind of the same thing with the Band On the Run 25th Anniversary CD but it's only marginally more interesting.

The overuse of noise reduction deadened the sound, but otherwise it was a half way decent attempt at recreating what Get Back was originally intended to be - “as nature intended!”

I think the best attempt at realizing the “as nature intended” concept The Beatles were after was the Glyn John’s mix included in the LIB box set. The problem was, after The Beatles heard it they thought nature was intending something different.

Sorry I don’t want to scroll through 590 pages- can anyone tell me what the pressing quality of the stand alone remix LP is like?
Worth buying if you enjoy the remix (I do!)?

They should have released Glyn John’s version and titled it When Nature Calls ;)

If he chose the rooftop versions of I've Got A Feeling and Dig A Pony and the last day version of Two Of Us, I think it's a much better album. You can still have "as nature intended" live recordings with all the banter without resorting to vastly inferior takes.

Surely it was more necessary than Giles' remixed Spector version.

It should have originally been a double album (at a special price) with rehearsals on record one followed by the best takes of the live on the roof tracks and then the studio session from the day after.

  25. NumberEight

NumberEight Came too late and stayed too long

Instead of a box with a book that no-one wanted at the time at the ‘special price’ of 59/11d, or one-and-a-half times the price of a regular LP…
