...but didn't I read that he needs hip replacement surgery - probably caused by the stupid walk he does

Danny Goffey on drums now that Supergrass have split (again) would be a no-brainer.

He wouldn't need Ringo - SuperPaulie could do both! (Proof = Let Me Roll It)

Clearly they need to talk about scheduling etc, in the same way that the likes of Radiohead would need talks about a new album/ tour - just that’s behind the scenes. It’s a throwaway sound bite.

Confirmed for release next year by Liam.

    What a novel concept.

When I use the word “novel”, I’m thinking in the context of being fiction in nature.

I'd immediately remove him from the band.
Any group with him as a member cannot be considered a supergroup.

There's already a Britpop supergroup. Backed by a live orchestra, Simon Fowler of Ocean Colour Scene, John Power of Cast and The La’s, Mark Chadwick of Levellers, Mark Morriss of The Bluetones and Saffron of Republica will join forces for an orchestral celebration of Britpop and are set to perform a selection of their hits and other iconic tracks from that era.

'90s supergroup formed for 'Britpop Classical' 2024 UK tour

I enjoyed the 90s and early 2000s music a lot. Oasis just weren't high on my list of bands I enjoyed, they were just OK. But they got my money for three albums so what do they care? Britpop was just hype. There was a lot of good stuff. In the 90s if you'd asked me then it was The Charlatans, Cast and Blur for me, with a special mention for Dodgy's Free Peace Sweet.

But in a semi-serious comment, I'm not in the mood for the kind of drugged up fun of the 90s music scene. More of a downer of the late 70s early 80s and we could certainly do with some of that creativity. Except the money men have shut all the music venues and turned them into flats. So in fact things are actually worse than then.

What is Liam Gallagher doing in a supergroup? I would call that a group.

Thanks for sharing - I try to be positive on this forum, but that tour sounds terrible

indeed! I saw it advertised from the OCS Facebook, and instantly dismissed it. If they don’t sell out, and offer tix for £5 the week before, I might consider it. It sounds like an awful waste of time. Although, I hope those that do go don’t feel that way and have a good night.

Well. To each their own. But many people consider him and Squire big stars.

Liam is now claiming that the new album is better than Revolver. Always known for his modesty, our lad.

It's hard to imagine who even qualifies to be in a supergroup today.

Colin Greenwood (Radiohead) on bass would be cool.

Squire has apparently been in LA for a few weeks and posted a photo at a Dodgers game with Greg Kurstin. So ... something is happening.

It’s just self promotion - both Gallagher brothers are very good at it - it’s not as if any band could be bigger than Jesus Chiat for example… except of course The Stones…

I'm sure Liam will be a somewhat adequate roadie for whomever they are...
