Had Ronstadt stayed with her 70s genre she might have stayed relevant to rock folks. Had her health not stolen her voice, she's still be a tour draw.
It's just heartbreaking, how it's turned out for her. She was much more versatile than any of her contemporaries. I'll put her in the same category with Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Patsy Cline. Way too talented to be contained.

I agree. I can’t the anguish it’s caused her, having her ability to sing stolen right out from under her.

Lindsey got old and lost his hair and his voice. Questions on that - spot the misogyny? Of course not, it doesn't fit your egoistic agenda. The misogyny is only in your own head.

"Classic Rock" magazine (Feb 2019, issue 258) has an article stating the court case between Buckingham and FM has been settled. In response to being asked about the outcome, Buckingham is quoted as saying on "This Morning" (US news programme) "I'm happy enough with it. I'm not out there trying to twist the knife at all. I'm trying to look at this with some level of compassion and some level of wisdom". Reference is also made to Buckingham saying he was informed Stevie Nicks had effectively issued an ultimatum to the band which was either he left or she left - it isn't clear in the article if that refers to previous statements to that effect or if it's Buckingham reiterating the position.

So, when is the reunion? :D :help:

    One of Buckingham’s latest tweets:

I can’t say that I “miss” being in Fleetwood Mac, as I’ve been concentrating on fulfilling my own plans that were already in the works before the split happened. So, in a sense, the situation is still too new to miss...

Lindsey's wife, Kristen, posted on Instagram today that Lindsey had open heart surgery and as a result suffered vocal damage. Doctors aren't sure if it's permanent or not. Feel better soon Lindsey.

How does one suffer vocal damage from heart surgery? Esophagus damaged in the process?

p.s. there is nothing in the news about this?

Re: Vocal cord damage after heart surgery. Direct vocal cord damage can occur as a consequence of the anaesthetic (the intubation), but there is also a risk of damage to the laryngeal nerves when the chest is opened. Can’t necessarily be prevented.

    1. Re>vocal chord damage ... intubation. I remember off the top of my head, Burt Lancaster's voice was never the same after his heart surgery and intubation was the culprit.

    2. Kind of reinforces after all the strife what is really important.

Les Paul Custom? Yes, quite heavy. Lindsey wasn't that into it, they kind of made him play a Les Paul. He played a Strat and Tele a lot in the studio though. I'm pretty partial to his idears about geetars, ha (see avatar).

To your point though- he basically stopped playing Les Pauls by 78.
