Back in the day "Phenomenon" was a main jam for me, and it's still a great record. Rockers and heartfelt ballads, they had it all...

I love that track and it was an instant buzz for me as well. Relentless, old-school heavy metal, strongly prefiguring the 80's.

Cherry from Obsession. Love the way its just Phil Mogg and guitar and then builds to the chorus with the full band. Great solo by Schenker as well.

Nice Chapman era track.....I love how people in many cases are selecting tracks one wouldn't expect.
FIgured it was a matter of time till somebody selected something without MS...

I'm actually surprised nobody has picked the one I selected.
    Peace

I think that just indicates how many great tunes there are in the UFO cannon.

UFO fans should also track down the 2 cd's issued as Mogg-Way in the late 90's especially Chocolate Box which features guitarist Jeff Kollman who should be of interest to Michael Schenker fans

Probably I'm a Loser as my fav track, followed by Rock Bottom (studio).

But then i do like some of the more melodic tracks, Try me or Martian Landscape

Nu metal...are you sure someone didn't slip in the wrong cd??? It's prime time UFO style hard rock. Both Mogg/Way's are excellent and Phil's solo (?) album under the banner $ign Of 4 (titled Dancing With St Peter) is also well worth tracking down.

I went for the somewhat obvious but if I could add a couple of more obscure favorites from the UFO repertoire that are huge favorites it'd be Too Much Of Nothing from Force It and Makin' Moves from The Wild The Willing And The Innocent.

Lights Out from "Strangers". Pace, power, speed and terrific tight finish. If your pulse isn't racing after that - you dead. :)

Doctor Doctor from Phenomenon is my choice. It the 1st song where MS began his distinctive sound.UFO is one of the few hard rock bands from the 70s that after 40+ yrs I still return to on fairly regular basis. They were so much more melodic than the other bands of the same ilk.Always under rated.BOC was another melodic hard rock band.Listen closely and you hear folk harmonies in the vocal mix.Cool stuff.

I have absolutely no idea what Nu Metal is or sounds like but I assume it involves shreading (which I do not like) & that is not the case here.

    Exactly.

I haven't been able to find a copy of $ign Of 4 yet.

BTW Jeff Kollman toured in Glenn Hughes tribute to Deep Purple band last year. (along with the incredible Lachy Doley)

Cant remember the song on Phenomenon that follows Doctor Doctor(and I'm to lazy to go check) but it contains my fav early MS solo.

I think EVH got quite a few ideas from Ronnie Montrose.
