Posted my first list in this thread almost a year ago. I wanted to take another pass at it and see how things have changed in the past year.

    01. Rolling Stones: Exile on Main St.
    02. Joni Mitchell: For the Roses
    03. Tori Amos: Boys for Pele
    04. Genesis: The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
    05. Kate Bush: Hounds of Love
    06. Bjork: Vespertine
    07. Fiona Apple: When the Pawn...
    08. Sundays: Reading, Writing and Arithmetic
    09. PJ Harvey: Is This Desire?
    10. Nick Drake: Five Leaves Left
    11. Leonard Cohen: Various Positions
    12. Arctic Monkeys: Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino
    13. Lana Del Rey: Ultraviolence
    14. Doors: L.A. Woman
    15. Liz Phair: Exile in Guyville

    17. Beatles: The Beatles
    18. Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti
    19. Eddie Vedder: Into the Wild
    20. Smashing Pumpkins: Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

Funny thing is, a lot of this is music I was into much earlier than some of what I put on my list last year. I think in many ways I'm going back to and re-appreciating the music I've loved since high school and college.

In the grand scheme of music there are actually very few originally released albums that I totally enjoy the whole album. Unsurprisingly enough those tend to be by the same artists. So, doing a list like this of 20 with no repeating artists was a huge stretch for me. I also had to include one greatest hits because it is so great. There are still a few albums on this list that I skip tracks.

The order of the list is random...

    Sugar - Copper Blue
    Jethro Tull - Stand Up
    Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
    Nirvana - Nevermind
Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced
Wendy Carlos - Switched On Bach
George Harrison - All Things Must Pass
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
Electric Light Orchestra - S/T, No Answer
    The Beatles - Abbey Road
Vince Guaraldi Trio - A Charlie Brown Christmas
    Leo Kottke - 6- and 12-String Guitar
    Pink Floyd - The Wall
    James Gang - Rides Again
    The Who - Who's Next
    Gloritone - Fainter Farther Still
    Green Day - American Idiot
    The Muggs - Born Ugly
Badfinger - Wish You Were Here
    Alice Cooper - Greatest Hits
