Her few pic with the big hair ...

This is probably the only recording she made with Christopher Hogwood.

IIRC, Christopher Hogwood only made 2 Philips recordings since he primarily recorded for L'Oiseau-Lyre ...

I also have the other Philips recording

Chris was special but I don't think he had much influence on the Kiri pick.

Agree. It was no doubt decided by the Philips management.

Talking of Oilers.... I am proud to say I saw Gretsky playing live once in Vancouver. However he was playing for LA.
One day I will treat myself to a Gretsky 99 Oilers shirt.......:D

That's because the main performers on those discs were Philips artists at the time. In cases like that the accompanying orchestras appeared "by courtesy of" or "by special arrangement with" their own labels.

Sylvia McNair was always a Philips artist. She also made quite a few recordings with Neville Marriner ...

Great voices and music. Some instrumentation in the background. I have all their releases so far. :)

Great playing and sound. In fact, it inspired me to buy a guitar made by the builder on this recording, Kolya Panhuyzen! (It will be here on Wed...)

Cool, I have a problem when synths try to play like conventional instruments, they are a whole world of their own, own it.
