Whoa! I haven't heard that in probably twenty five years. And a deluxe edition to boot. Looks like I have some homework to do.
Heard this today for the first time in ages: Artifacts - C'Mon Wit Da Git Down (Remix) feat. Busta Rhymes Such a sick beat. Classic David Axelrod sample.
I’ve been hooked on the clipping record from this year. Probably because it’s rooted in horror stories, which are my favorite thing. Daveed Diggs is so wildly talented as a rapper.
Trying to narrow down my favorites this year... I think these would mostly make the cut: Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake & LUV vs the World 2 Boldy James - the Price of Tea in China Denzel Curry - Unlocked Ka - Descendants of Cain Clipping - Visions of Bodies Being Burned still need to figure out if I’m into the new 2 Chainz and Megan Thee Stallion records
So has everyone gone and purchased Run-DMC's Raising Hell on SACD? This is MFSL's first jaunt into Hip-Hop. Besides being a classic album, MFSL won't issue any more classic Rap albums on the format if sales don't materialize. Run DMC - Raising Hell (Hybrid Numbered SACD)
I'm liking this just for the mention of Boldy and Ka! Boldy's My First Chemistry Set is a KILLER debut! Everything Ka has released has been dope. I've been so focused on acquiring old school stuff this year that I haven't purchased any new joints... it's been Mobb Depp, Prodigy, Big L, Masta Ace and Mos Def for me in 2020
Good times ahead. It's pretty easy to fall into the rabbit hole of getting deep into Doom, he is prolific. Oh yeah one of the best things about Nas albums. Doe or Die is great.
365 copies pressed according to Discogs, who thought limiting it to that number for a Ka album was a good idea Or I don't know, maybe this is part of the hype beast type marketing with vinyl these days? I'm just glad there is a CD.
