You've probably found 7/12/64 Tokyo and 7/15/64 Kyoto before, but it would be nice to see them show up in the Bootleg Series. And Peter Losin notes, "There may have been a performance at Osaka Festival Hall on July 13 -- Davis mentions one in his autobiography -- but in the notes to Domino 891212, Japanese critic Tosiyuki Nomoto is quoted as saying that "the tape on the 13th has still slept in the warehouse of a broadcasting station. There is not a person who heard it." Now that would be really special, if Sony could dig up that treasure, too. My copy of Miles in Tokyo is the 1996 Japanese CD in the LP-replica jacket. I was in a Tower Records one day when they had the whole series on display, but I couldn't really afford more than one, so I picked one that hadn't been released in the US. I have no idea how its sound compares to the Wilder remaster or any other issues. Has anyone had an opportunity to run some tests on different releases of this title?
