I own it. When I purchased it, was priced at € 5. Good work!

That is indeed a steal. Nice find! I played it just the other day.

Am I the only one who thinks Big Black’s playing is a bit clunky on most of the songs he plays on here?

A great tribute from this French saxophonist, in exquisite sound.

    Nice wall!

Do you occasionally rotate or change the framed works?

Did you finish and circulate the film?

I know some Phillies phans who are still suffering 60 years later.

Will it bring them some solace?

There's my album of the year 2023! Absolutely stunning from start to finish! I took a shot at learning "Contra" on guitar, that really kicked my ass!

    Thank you!

I just redid the wall not too long ago and added new pieces. If I find something fun or different, I would consider switching it up a bit.

There was an interesting discussion about mono vs. stereo in one of the Blue Note threads today.

Any remembrances of living so close to the park, just blocks s away. Did you go to many games?

Yes I did finish the documentary and was lucky enough to have it aired for a few years on PBS in Philadelphia.

The Phillies also had it for sale in the souvenir shops at the ballpark for quite a while.

As for those suffering fans, I'm afraid it has the exact same ending...........

My great grandfather knew Connie Mack very well. But, as the New York Giants principal writer, he was often on the opposite side.

They got together a bunch during the 1911 World Series

My great grandfather is in this photo at that Series, but hard to make out.

I went to Connie Mack a few times. My first cousin lived in Merchantville then and when we’d go down there we sometimes went to a game. I also went to Veterans Stadium a couple of times with him.

Bluebird/RCA/BMG CD, 1991. Includes the two albums she made for RCA Victor, West of the Moon (LPM 1408) and A Touch of the Blues (LSP 1566) plus a bonus track. Recorded 1956 & 1957, Webster Hall, NYC, with the later recordings in stereo. Original producer: Fred Reynolds. Reissue producer: Orrin Keepnews. Digital transfers by Paul Goodman. This singer is new to me and I enjoyed her straightforward approach.
