Local source to hear NX Xtreme speakers....

Not that I have the ability to build them, but thought that they were worth listening to. he has a pair of the GR research h frame open baffle subs to go with them. Should be interesting

 

These are GR Research. You can but them ready to go if you wish.

 

You're selling those pair? Is that a tweeter and mid on top of the open baffle sub?

Those are allegedly an amazing experience, but they need a lot of room around them to be fully appreciated.

 

Those are what he has. I wouldn't do the xtreme, just the otica version.

My room is 13.5 x 19 x 8 and speakers could easily be 3 ft out from the wall or more

 

GR Research is a day trip away from me, I need to go hear these for myself.

 

The NXtremes are atleast 7 ft tall, if i recall right...Looks like it is gonna get a lil rough with the 8 ft ceiling...

 

No no no....I wouldn't get the xtreme. I was just pleased that a GR NX speaker was in town. 7' is too tall. The NX otica would be an ok height

 

I may have to make a trip out that direction (family reasons). If I pull the trigger on these, I may get a truck and bring them home with me...baby steps

 

The xtremes clobbered certain Rockports & Wilsons i used to own (seriously speaking)... If the Oticas, which i have never heard are even half as good, i think you should be in very good hands...

 

I'd be tempted to get the xtreme if they were going in my main living room. Same dimensions, but 9 ft ceiling. My wife is patient and supportive and has already spoken out against 7 ft speakers.

 

Super Seven would be my choice. I have the cabinets ready to assemble. Just need the NLA drivers.
