Looking for a vintage (japanese) direct drive

Good to know. Yeah, now that you mention it, I think I've read about the Denon motor issues somewhere.

In reference to your post about enjoying the auto-features of the JVC, I'm experiencing something similar with the Dual 1229 I've been using for the last week. I didn't know how much I NEEDED auto start and auto return. (Apologies again -- this is a thread about Japanese direct-drives, and the Dual is Black Forest cuckoo-clock that's been modified to play records, lol.)

 

Best description of Dual I've ever read .
I just need the auto lift off at the end, that's good enough for me. If I would have auto return as well I wouldn't get out of my seat again....ever .
