Something dumb been in the back of my mind for decades but if it holds any water you experts would be well aware.

Any chance naming a psychiatrist Sidney Freedman was purposely to vaguely resemble the name Sigmund Freud?

Well, they did initially name him Milton Freedman in his first episode. When he returned, he was named Sidney.

I wasn't aware of this until I ran into a thrift store this morning: Jamie Farr wrote a memoir (with Robert Blair Kaiser) titled Just Farr Fun... It was only three bucks, so I picked it up.

Unless you wanted a lot of capitalist polemics in your M*A*S*H, probably a good idea.

It always irritated me hearing BJ talking about his wife, Peg!
Rizzo was always under a Jeep... loved his fake legs.
Loved the scene of Col. Flagg and Radar at the Juke Box.

There was a scene where this Asian guy had a cart of blackmarket goods he was trying to sell... he showed Hawkeye a square block of wood...
He said "...see this piece of wood? It used to be round!"

I loved how Colonel Flagg hid in a trashcan trying to be a double knot spy with Colonel Winchester, then got a tray of food dumped on his head!

I loved it when that rotund black market guy (re) visited the swamp and Frank Burns called out that the watch he sold him last week doesn't work to which the salesman retorts without missing a beat to "Try other wrist" which Frank then thoughtfully does!

It was stuff like that and “This is me” which made the show such a joy... quick little scenes or asides that were so hilarious.
