"Mad Men" -- *Final* Season Official Thread (possible spoilers) (part 2)

Yeah, that's a pretty good article. Jon Hamm, as good as he is in the show, remains an untapped actor who is capable of more than this. And he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Not exaggerating. He's quite something for a guy who's had so much success and played such an arrogant/good guy and people may think he has it so easy in real life. Believe me, he doesn't. He's not totally comfortable with the attention. Which is very cool. Let's send him some good thoughts.

 

This split season has almost ruined the show for me, I will probably watch but my interest level is much lower than before.

 

It seemed like a bad idea last year. Now there are more episodes to look forward to instead of the show being over for 9 months already. I can live with it.

 

I'm with you there. I have the sense the show's time has passed. Dumb programming decision by AMC.

 

Watch the hype begin to ramp up in anticipation as the premiere gets closer....

Re-watching the first seven episodes of Season 7 starting tonight - getting ready for the premier.

The first half of the 7th season just made it to Netflix. Well planned.

 

What ever happened to George Lazenby after his one Bond flick, anyway?

 

I don't really know, but I think he made a great Bond. 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' is in my Top 5 Bond films.

Wonder if Mad Men will reference this film somewhere in the last few episodes.

 

I think Hamm would make a great Philip Marlowe

This is a really good 4-minute recap of Season 7, part 1. I forgot how much stuff went down. I'd prefer to watch the whole thing over from the start, but I just don't have the time.

Is it wild speculation time yet? Lets see, where do we begin...

Roger and the deal with McCann.

Does it happen? Does Roger finally get to be President, get that respect he has always wanted, goes back to a more stable home life - and then die?

Has Roger been the character that has evolved the most?

 

Yeah I think the deal happens. The season will start a month or two after the previous season finale (bypassing Woodstock, thank goodness!) with all of the partners now millionaires.

I don't think Roger has evolved the most by a long shot. I think that distinction easily goes to Peggy. Pete has also evolved a fair amount, too.
