Don looked really miserable in the end of the episode.
Great start to the season anyways, I liked it a lot. Terrific show!

Why is Pete in Los Angeles if Ted is also in LA? Sticking 2 partners over there just for Sunkist seems a bit much (it sounds like Pete's move is semi-permanent, given that the realtor woman is trying to get him to buy a house.) Of course, it's always great to have Pete and Don in the same scenes.

Great episode last night - only 13 more to go! :shake:

Loved Don's entrance with the Spencer Davis Group's "I'm A Man" playing - loved the use of the mozaic wall, and the use of slow motion when he hit the sidewalk. Re-watching tonight.

Is that wall the same one filmed in the alternate opening to Jackie Brown included on the BR as an extra? Sure looked like it. That was a cool scene, w/ Pam Grier bopping along to the music as she moved past that wall.

I hadn't notice the similar body attributes to a Mustang before. Makes sense.

I thought it pretty boring on the whole.

Don's arrival at LAX was cool ...but mad Men are good at that look and style.

The whole story just meandered along.

    Same old same old.

Did Peggy buy the building she's living in (in the the East Village I think)? Didn't connect why she was responsible for the neighbors plumbing. And if so was that the maintenance man who was sleeping in her apt?

Yes, she bought the building last season, we discovered that when she complained that a junkie tenant had left human excrement in the hallway. That is her brother-in-law that was sleeping on her couch when she returned. . .he had brought a plumber over.

AMC is making a big mistake by waiting until next Spring to air the final 7. This show is a slow burn character show. And a complex one at that, as most people here seem to have trouble remembering everything that happened last season. Dragging it out even longer just lessens the impact of everything that will happen as the background is less and less prominent in viewers' minds. It really does a disservice to those of us who are watching as it airs and don't have the discipline (and luck) to not watch it and catch any spoilers along the way.

I've watched all the seasons twice except the last one. It's a great show on so many levels.

I thought it was a terrific first episode. Yes it's a slow-burn, but so what? The standard of writing is just so high on this show, it never ceases to amaze me.
