I mostly use a high-end FM tuner and then records second. Records are for critical listening, of course. I have nothing else. So, I vote FM tuner as I use it the most. What do you use the most for playback?

    Other can be tape, etc.

FLAC files from PC, ALAC on my phone, vinyl, CDs... I use them all.

For convenience and when I want to throw together playlists, I use FLAC files.
For being on-the-go, it is ALAC on my iPhone.
When I have a chance to relax, unwind, and listen to an entire side, all sides, or disc, I'll settle down with vinyl or CD.

Tape would be the next in order of frequency.

Almost evenly divided in-between CD, computer downloads, records. I would have thought computer downloads would have been way in front.

Some people have no "main" playback type but they spend their time equally listening to vinyl, cds, files, etc. There should be a choice for them too.

Audiophiles listen to one source more than others I believe. Poll is most used source.

Depends on stuff...I just installed a new cart so now it's all vinyl. A month ago it was cd's as I bought lots and lots of them for peanuts. Before that it was FLAC files of ripped cd's & vinyl (NO downloads or streaming for me) on my hdd...

    Agree.

I chose records myself but there should be this equal option you mentioned.

CD first, in the car mainly because I have a good sized collection, I'm in the car a lot and I invest in new music this way for titles that do not justify an LP.
    LP at home- 90%.
    Internet radio 7%
    Digital files 3%

Internet radio can go under FM Tuner.

For me it about 80% ripped music and Tidal via Roon, then LPs. I can’t remember the last time I put a CD in a player other than to rip it to the PC.

If we categorize CD, files, radio and stream as digital and records as analog, digital is winning by a margin.

What if the station is 3,000 miles away? That's quite an antenna! :)

It is radio. How you receive it is up to you. I like listening the 'Sweat Hotel' program featuring R&B. Local radio stations may carry it or steaming is available.

I listen to LP's 90% of the time with CD's and Sonos 10% of the time. With an upgraded TT this year I rediscovering my vinyl collection and enjoying every minute of it.

I usually listen to a couple records before bed. Might get a nice DAC in the future, but it's all vinyl for now :D

Should have streaming. Records then streaming - sometimes CDs.
