‘Married… with Children’ Animated Series With Original Cast Heats Up TV Marketplace – Deadline
the audio would be great...that's about it...animated> why?
Animated….as in cartoon? Don’t see this really working …. Even with the original cast doing the voices.
I would rather have seen a reboot of the show as a continuation 30 years later.
I imagine because they want the same character dynamics they had in the original series, which would be hard to do in live action with Ed O’Neill (76), Katey Sagal (68), Christina Applegate (50) and David Faustino (48) in present-day.
fair enough, but on the flip would it not have been really cool to have them as they are today in a reboot? I'd love it!
Peg, I’m not a cartoon; I’m almost a human being, dammit!
Psycho Dad spinoff!
How about Ed O'Neill brings back Modern Family instead?
Cool. Now they can be pals with Captain Caveman and the Shmoo.
Cameo walk on's???!!!
Maybe the orange monster "Gossamer" from Bugs Bunny comes into Al's shoe store for some new sneakers.
Cartoon makes sense considering the later seasons were practically a lot like a live action cartoon.
I wonder what other shows will be brought back in animated form if this catches on? Happy Days, maybe? Cheers?
Ayyyyy, it's been done.
Just spitballing here: Perhaps Christina Applegate's health issues (she's a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed with MS last year) preclude her from working in a live-action sitcom at this point. I gotta believe that voicing an animated Kelly Bundy would be considerably less taxing.
you are 100% correct. For her it would be better...wow I did not know about the MS. : ( very sad...
if I had to make a choice I'd rather have MWC...huge fan during the initial run...sadly for me it's hard to see him other than Al Bundy...
Oh man. Thats awful. I always thought she was a pretty good comic actor actually. Too young.
I haven't seen too much of 'Modern Family', but from what I have seen, his character seems to have some Al Bundyish lines now and again...
I didn't care for it.
she was Kelly! she did a great job...
ever since the beginning whenever I heard that show mention by Al I always thought they might make for prime time...
Separate names with a comma.
