I was actually going to start a thread about this. What you're seeing is the 1st configuration of Ringo’s newly acquired Ludwig “Hollywood” drum set. This is the maple set that was seen in “Let It Be”. That second kick is his black oyster kick from his existing set. Evidently he didn’t go for the double kick arrangement for very long. If nothing else, it explains why his rack toms were on a floor stand in “Let It Be”.

#25. It's hard to pick out, but it's there.
Sorry that I didn't post the pick, I forgot how.

Fantastic! Thanks so much for posting.

Rare Beatles studio pix: one of my favorite things to be found in the SH Forums.

Great pix. You would never know of the disharmony at the time by looking at these pics. Makes me wonder how blown out of proportions it really was.

The one of George with Mal is from a Jackie Lomax session in LA.

LOVE this. Wish more pictures from the White Album sessions (like these) had found there way into the Anthology Book.

Did John have his j160e stripped during these sessions or did he have two?

During the White Album sessions John's J160E was already stripped, as you can see on the footage when they are rehearsing 'Hey Jude'.

The one in the pics above it's probably George's.
