Mumbo is a fantastic opener. Did it inspire Song 2 by Blur?

That's the beauty of McCartney's music, there's something for everyone!

I like Give My Regards to Broadstreet and Press To PLay, for me the worse things he's done are McCartney II and the Fireman. As hard as I've tried those albums are the only ones where I find more bad than good.

I didn't like McCartney II at first but now I do. Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest isn't any good but Rushes and especially Electric Arguments I like.

I have got to give that one another listen. I did not like the single Coming Up at the time of release and years and years later but I like it now.

Coming Up is the song from McCartney II that grabbed me from the beginning and hasn't let me go!

  9. If "Tomorrow", "Dear Friend", "Wild Life" had come later rather than sooner in Paul's solo/Wings career, they would be recognized as pretty great stuff. Buried on his worst selling (at least through the early 80's) album and surrounded, largely, by mediocre material (although i love the off-the-cuff approach for recording this album. It was kind of unusual at the time. I do like "Mumbo" though-I like the jam-like quality of it).

Some People Never Know and Tomorrow. I love all the songs on Wild Life. I'm known to blast Mumbo at work to wig people out. Heh, I also am known to play Cambridge 1969 while we labor too. Man, the reactions created are priceless. Yeah, I'm that guy.

  11. That’s ok. I play “Ram On” and “Big Barn Red” back to back.

Gosh, I usually play BBB and then skip through My Love on the way to GOTRT. :hide:

I bought this a while back and in a Macca listening mood this week. Put this album on and loved it!

"Some People Never Know", "Tomorrow" & "Love is Strange". But my favorite is "Bip Bop Link", although it's not in the list. That is some really wonderful guitar playing with a nice little melody.
