So, I bought a pair of Meridian M100's at an estate sale, they cost me $200 bucks but I thought "Hey, I've heard ( pun intended ) great things about these speakers......

So it turns out that that they are in bad shape ( yes I should have plugged them in to something before I bought them ) . My audio guy who can fix almost anything for next to nothing tells me " These are in poor shape it's going to cost about $400 to repair both of them" .

My question to the forum of folks who know more about this stuff than I ever will is this, Do I sell them for parts hoping to recover my $200 investment or go all in, spending a total of $600? Is it worth the money?

    Thanks for your input

Haven't heard this particular model but I've heard one of the smaller models with similar drivers. I'd say yes, they're worth it you like their look and if they can be brought up to original spec.

The tweeters likely need new ferrofluid.
