I've simply quit buying american (or non-european) mastered LP's "Made In Europe". I'm tired of all the guesswork. Now I order everything from the U.S.A, except for music being mastered and pressed in Europe.

I totally agree with you it really has turned into a guessing game!

$200 is way over the top for this boxset which in the US is about $120!

What kind of prices are you paying (including postage)?

It depends for each different LP... but until now I think I'm not spending more than what I would spend buying records locally because most LP's are quite a bit more expensive here in Portugal. It's usually a good deal to order from the US even with postage costs...

I recently got the 45 version from a local store. Still sealed, discounted to $25. I hadn't planned on buying this, but for that price I figured I could take a chance.

I really like the 33 rpm version. Haven't made up my mind about the 45 rpm one.

I recently found and bought 4LP version of Black Album and Justice For All 4LP.
Price was around 40$ each...which was bargain compared to normal EU-prices..

ok, on face one, does your 5 looks a little bit like an S ? and the 8 is like two "o" stacked one in an other ?

GZVinyl do vinyl pressing and vinyl mastering, in this case they just pressed from the US stampers!

The LP I bought today Garage Inc. has no handwritten info, it is all stamped! That's what leads me to believe it was mastered by GZVinyl from a high res file!

maybe, but they do great job with mastering from hi-res files, the Rolling stones box set for exemple sound very good.

    Hi,

Just listening my brand new "2 LPs black album set" proceeding from gzvinyl bought last week and guess what ?

I found a half flat dry mosquito stuck in there

Almost a fosile of a mosquito as it spents there between 3 and 4 years :-/

    That's weird !

Well except that, after a little cleaning and carbon 14 dating, it sounds good to me. Not as good as I whish, but good.

Wow, even better! For some items you need to sign in in order to see the price, I guess the price varies a bit by location.

Popmarket does it again - The item status now is "Temporarily Backordered", and I don't think it will be shipped in 1 to 2 days like it says. Anyway I am fine with it as the price more or less justify the wait.

There may be a long wait for those Pop Market orders I'm afraid. After waiting nearly 3 months for an AC/DC bundle of vinyl,I emailed them and asked for a refund, and my card was credited within a couple of hours.
